It is a labor of love—for the generations who came before us, for those who worship here today, and for all who will walk through our doors in the years to come.
Restoration efforts have already begin!
In 2025, we are focusing our efforts on restoring the exterior of the church building. We have enlisted a local company, with proven skills in renovating historic buildings, to restore and preserve the walls and windows of our exterior structure. The work started on Monday, April 21, 2025. It is a major endeavor, and as you might guess, a costly one. The peeling paint needed to be removed. Moisture penetrated the stone walls. They must be sealed and then repainted. The wooden casings around our stained-glass windows and doors were rotting. The stability that supports the stain glass was jeopardized. The tedious task of replacing the rotted wood to secure the windows and then painting the new trim structures was quite an effort. You saw the work being done. Right now, we are waiting for some glazing to cure before the final coats of paints go on.
In 2026 and 2027, we will focus our attention on the interior restoration that is needed. This will involve repairing plaster and painting.
As a beacon on a hill, our cherished church building has stood faithfully through generations, weathering time and the elements. Now, it is our turn to give it the care it so richly deserves. This capital campaign is dedicated to restoring and renewing our sacred space, ensuring it remains a beacon of faith and community for generations to come.
Years of exposure have taken their toll. The paint is peeling and must be stripped away. Moisture has penetrated the stone walls, requiring them to be sealed and repainted. The wooden casings surrounding our beautiful stained-glass windows and doors are rotting, threatening the stability of the glass itself. Inside, plaster is crumbling due to moisture damage, and the sanctuary will need repainting throughout. Some of our floor coverings have not been updated since the 1940s and are in urgent need of replacement.

Restoring and Renewing the Church for the future
With savings, fundraising efforts and giving from our congregation we have paid for the initial stages of our capital campaign effort. The total cost of the exterior restroration is over $90,000.
We need partners in this campaign of raising funds. We still need to raise over $100,000 to pay for the interior restoration. Can you help?
